Why these numbers
A percentage on a label only means something if it's high enough to work.
Plenty of serums list niacinamide and alpha arbutin. Fewer list how much. We settled on 5% niacinamide because that is where the published work on tone and barrier support sits, and 2% alpha arbutin because it's the concentration commonly used for pigmentation support without the irritation that comes from pushing higher.
The hyaluronic acid isn't decoration either. A brightening serum that leaves skin dry gets abandoned in three weeks — and a product you stop using does nothing at all.
How to use
After cleansing
Evening. Three to four drops on slightly damp skin.
Press, don't rub
Palms flat, working outward from the centre of the face.
Moisturiser on top
While skin is still damp — it holds the water in.
Sunscreen every morning
Without it, brightening work quietly undoes itself.
Patch test first
If your skin is reactive: inner forearm, 24 hours.
